Event details

Take a guided tour though St Andrew's Anglican parish in Epsom founded in 1867.

Learn the story of young gentlewoman Violet Kerr Taylor of Alberton, who eloped to marry at the church in 1894 and those of other notable Auckland citizens, some of whom rest in the cemetery.

Explore the interior of the Category I Heritage listed Gothic Revival church and examine some of the features of its interior including the font, the stained-glass windows, chapels and devotional art.

Followed by tea and scones at Alberton and a self-guided visit through the 1863 homestead.
