An exhibition of the history of the Bay City Deering Shovel, known as Wandering Kate.

This mighty machine was used in the development of the Kaipara District for building roads and other such work.

Wandering Kate has had a diverse history and is a recent addition to the displays at Helensville Museum. A photo exhibition and film will be playing alongside Wandering Kate herself.
