Community is the beating heart of the Dolphin Theatre. And with six productions a year, it makes for a lively season with plenty of characters treading the boards.
Join Jan Saussey as she presents stories from the present back to the past, when the Onehunga Repertory Players was formed in 1961 with the keen support of the mayor and borough council.
By 1966 the Onehunga Repertory Players had their own theatre and a new name, Little Dolphin Theatre. This rapid growth was testament to quality productions and wide community support, which ranged from the financial to players' families helping build seats and installing lighting in the new theatre.
