The makers of Onehunga. Join a guided tour by Onehunga Fencible & Historical Society.

Visit St Peter's Church Graveyard, where many prominent locals who shaped Onehunga now lie.

We discuss the pioneers of Onehunga, publicans vs mayors, the first woman mayor in the British Empire and there is a naval section with the Chaplain from the 'Orpheus' besides other naval sailors.

St Peter's Church will be open for a cup of tea afterwards, with the archivist on hand to answer questions relating to particular graves.

There will be a 2pm talk on Elizabeth Yates, the first woman mayor in the British Empire.

The local clubs and societies including Fencible, Genealogists and the Onehunga Community House will have displays at the church.
